Stomp! 2021 Shiraz

A classic Hunter Valley Shiraz, this wine is medium-bodied but at the fuller bodied end of this spectrum. If you love a richer style Hunter Valley Shiraz, this one is for you. The beautiful fruit drive and fine tannin finish make it the ideal pairing with mature hard cheeses.

Tasting Notes
This outstanding Hunter Valley Shiraz is deep red in colour, with lifted red berry fruits, mocha and vanilla characters. The fruit driven palate has a dry, fine tannin finish.  

Cellaring Potential - Drink this wine whilst the rich fruits are highlighted, or for those that love Hunter Valley aged savoury complexities, this wine will continue to develop complexity and earthy, leathery, aged characteristics over the next 10 years.

A hearty wine deserves hearty food. We love this wine with a hearty, winter casserole or richly flavoured slow cooked beef or lamb. It's ideal with your favourite mature, hard cheeses, dates and crackers.

Winemaking Details
Machine harvested in February 2021 the fruit was fermented in stainless steel tanks, with regular hand plunging. It then underwent malolactic fermentation and maturation in French and American oak barriques for 18 months and the finished wine was bottled in August 2022. Alc - 13.5%
